Even before you start work here, we’ll make sure your questions are answered and you know exactly what’s expected of you. Our two-day Induction Event offers a warm welcome, a chance to get to know fellow graduates and to meet your mentors and directors. There are presentations, during which you get an overview of the industry and our organisation. But it’s a right old sociable occasion too, because there’s nothing worse than turning up on your first day and feeling like a stranger.
Year One consists of six rotations that take your right around the business. You will gain experience in Land, Construction, Technical, Commercial, Finance and Sales, spending two months in each function. This practical experience will also be supported by development modules that help to develop your management skills and your project management ability.
Year Two sees each graduate specialise in their chosen area, getting involved in longer term projects and gaining in-depth knowledge of a specific discipline. Once again, you will also get the benefit of additional development modules to enhance your softer skills, on subjects such as communication, presentation, leadership, motivation and performance management.
During the two years, you will also have opportunities to study for professional qualifications and to undertake voluntary activities. You will also benefit from regular appraisals, feedback and formal mentoring from a Managing Director, so that you know exactly how well you are progressing.
By the end of the Programme, you will be part of a group of emerging, talented and versatile leaders, who can help us to develop and deliver inspiring solutions. You will have the insight to specialise, yet also the skills to work cross-functionally in the future.
